DYEING OF COTTON FABRIC WITH HOT BRAND REACTIVE DYE
Recipe :
Percent shade 2.0%
Concentration of glaubers salt 20 gram per liter
Concentration of soda ash 10 gram per liter
pH of dyeing 9.5 to 10.5 ( And depend upon which class reactive dye)
Temperature of dyeing 70*c ( And depend upon which class reactive dye)
Time of dyeing 45 minutes
M:L.R 1:30
Procedure :
Preparation of Hot brand Reactive Dye solution :
First weigh accurately 1.0 gm of hot brand reactive dye powder on a watch glass or on a glazed paper and transfer it in to a porcelain dye pot. Then add 5.0 ml of cold water and stir it well to make the homogeneous paste. Then add remaining 94 ml of hot water with constant stirring to make total volume 100 ml.
Dyeing Process :
Prepared dye bath as per weight of fabric and M:L.R. First take 2.0% reactive dye solution and water in to bath. Then add add 10 gram per liter glaubers salt in to dye bath and enter scoured bleach fabric sample in to bath at room temperature. Then dyeing process is start with increases temperature gradually to 65*c. After 15 minutes add another 10 gram per liter glaubers salt and 10 gram per liter soda ash into dye bath. After that addition dyeing process is continue another 15 minutes to achieve even dyeing. After completion of dyeing process take out material from the dye bath, wash with water and give soaping treatment as follow.
Soaping Treatment :
First take required ml of water in a dye pot according to M:L.R and add 2.0 gram per liter non-ionic detergent. Then enter the dyed sample and raise the temperature of the bath up to 70*c and continue soaping treatment at this level for 15 minutes. Then squeeze and dry the dyed sample.
Conclusion :
From above process it is concluded that even dyeing produced on cotton fabric using hot brand reactive dyeing. Reactive dye produced co valent bond on cotton fabric.
